Cinnamon biscuits

Last week I took a craftsy class on How to teach. Part of the course material was a cookie recipe. I made a few changes to it and made some yummy cookies crispy round the edges and chewy in the middle. So thought I'd share it with you.

Cinnamon cookies!

Ingredients

3/4  Cup butter
1     Cup brown sugar
1/2  Cup golden syrup
1      Egg beaten (room temp)
2 1/2 cups plain flour
2tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2tsp cinnamon
**************************************************
• Cream together butter and sugar.
• Slowly add the egg making sure the egg is well mixed
• Add the golden syrup, mix well
• Sift together the remaining ingredients and mix well

Chill mix for 15 mins.
Meanwhile preheat the oven 375f (190c GM5)

• Roll mix into balls size of walnuts and roll in sugar.
• Place on a baking sheet 1-1 1/2" apart
Bake for 10-12 mins until golden
• Wait 1-2 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool

Store in a air tight container (if they make it that far!!)

My boys loved these and I'm under strict instructions to make more!!  I may add a bit more cinnamon next time but that's just personal taste.

ENJOY!!!!
